Building a Coaching Culture
Leadership is all about driving change in others. Lasting change challenges the current belief sets. This programme provides the delegate with the tools to handle change within the team.
Coaching is a being rather than a doing. This programme seeks to sow the seeds of a coaching based culture within the organisation.
Delivering the Sustainable message
A two day practical workshop ‘Coaching for Performance’ allows managers to achieve a framework for success, based on raising awareness and creating ownership through the effective use of coaching based behaviours. A leader’s effectiveness is to be able to generate discretionary behaviour from within their teams; this can also be defined as Effective Followership. This master class will explore the key components of coaching as a culture, establishing it as a being rather than a doing.
What you will learn
Challenging the beliefs which currently support a more ‘tell’ culture, we seek to reframe them and develop the manager’s ability to use questions in a more effective manner, changing behaviour through employee choice rather than threat. Using the well-respected ‘GROW’ model as the foundation, our programme ensures that this is an adoption based programme, rather than just a skills focus.
To add greater realism to these programmes, we tend to use qualified corporate actors to conduct a series of real play exercises, where the delegates are given the opportunity to develop through highly contextualised scenarios. These often end up being the highlight of the programme, providing a great learning experience for all.
As an option it is possible to run this programme as a one day intervention, though the delegates will not have the opportunity to practice their new skill sets as much within the safe informative environment of the classroom.
